How to use

The Produce Pod has an inner bag and an outer bag.

1. Dampen the inner bag by running it under the tap, then wring out the excess water.

2. Put the inner bag inside the outer bag. Then put your produce inside, close both bags and put the Pod in any part of your fridge.

3. Re-dampen the inner bag whenever it starts to dry out, approximately once per week.

*Before first use, wash the inner bag to increase absorbency.

Materials

Inner bag: 100% cotton

Outer bag: Made from recycled plastic bottles with a thin laminate coating added to make it water resistant (RPET PUL).

Care Instructions

Wash the inner and outer bags once per week, inside out, in a 60C machine cycle with a full dose of detergent. Ensure your Pods are thoroughly dried before putting them back in your fridge.

If you do not have access to a 60C machine wash: instead put the inner bag only in a saucepan and pour a boiled kettle over it, and let it sit for a minute or two, submerged in the boiled water, before you do your cold machine wash or hand wash of both the inner and outer bags.

Outer bag: Do not wash at higher than 60C. Line dry.

Inner bag: Can withstand high temperatures. Line or tumble dry.

I bought several of these produce pods after seeing them advertised on Facebook. I had been getting increasingly annoyed at the amount of vegetables going off in the fridge within a week of being bought. I thought I could give these produce pods a go and I am very impressed with them. They do exactly what they are meant to. I have had carrots, celery, capsicum, cauliflower and broccoli all in the fridage for over 3 weeks and as good as the day they were bought. I also love the patterns and colors of the pods. I have recommended them to family members as well. They will be great for the caravan when we go away as well.

They actually work!

I was a bit skeptical at first when I read about these Produce Pods but I thought I would give them a go. We live in Far North Queensland, and the produce in the supermarkets usually has a very short life date, so I am often throwing away vegetables before I can get to use them. And living out of town makes it un-economical to keep running into town. I'm happy to say that my Produce Pod has lived up to its promise and extended my vegetables life for up to 7 days longer! Celery is still crisp, mushrooms are still white, cauliflower and all my other vegetables like they were bought yesterday. This product really works!
