Our Story

Hello! I’m Fiona. I live in Sydney with my little family. And I love fresh veggies, leafy greens & herbs! But there are some things about them that I don't love:

Throwing out rotten veg that cost me so much money 😩

The smell of bagged leaves that have gone to slime 😩

Trying to cram too many containers into my fridge 😩

The never ending search for a storage method that works 😩

The funny thing is, I was actually experimenting with the reusable aspect of vegetable storage, when I accidentally stumbled across the solution to this problem that had plagued me for so long.

Thanks to my long term veggie-storage dramas, I had a good idea about what to try for a reusable veggie bag that would hopefully also keep the veggies fresh. I gave it a go and I was really pleased with the results. So I started keeping all my veggies in prototype Pods.

Shortly afterwards, I bought a bunch of mint from Woolies for a new recipe I wanted to try. But I never got around to trying that recipe and I forgot all about it. Three weeks later I remembered I had a bunch of mint and I assumed it would be rotten. But I was stunned when I found it pristine. I thought I’d see how long it could last and I ended up keeping it for 7 weeks with some, but surprisingly limited deterioration. That was when I thought wow, I’ve actually discovered something pretty amazing!
