Fiona

Hello! I’m Fiona. I live in Sydney with my little family. And I love fresh veggies, leafy greens & herbs! But there are some things about them that I don't love:
  • Throwing out rotten veg that cost me so much money 😩
  • The smell of bagged leaves that have gone to slime 😩
  • Trying to cram too many containers into my fridge 😩
  • The never ending search for a storage method that works 😩
The thing is, veggies are SO FUSSY about their environment. Too much air, they go limp. Too much moisture, they rot. Too little moisture, they dry out. And it’s depressing to lose so many beautiful veggies before you even have the chance to eat them.

After many years of experimentation, frustration, and wasted veggies, I accidentally stumbled across the solution to this problem that had plagued me for so long.

Here's how the Produce Pod works. The damp cotton inner layer keeps the veggies hydrated, while the outer later prevents those veggies drying out too soon. But both layers are breathable, which means that (1) your veggies don't suffocate, and (2) moisture can escape at a slow rate so that condensation doesn’t build up. UGH, CONDENSATION! Thankfully, it’s a thing of the past!

I was shocked by the results when I first put my veggies in prototype Pods. At one point I bought a bunch of mint and forgot about it. Three weeks later I was surprised to find it was still fresh! I kept it as an experiment, and I was absolutely blown away when it was still fresh after six weeks. I mean, who keeps mint for six weeks??? I realised I’d discovered something amazing.

My mission is to help you keep your veggies fresh for longer. If you would like to learn more about keeping produce fresh, check out Produce Pod on Instagram or join our mailing list at the bottom of this page.
