Our Story
Produce Pod is brought to you by two sisters from Sydney. Fiona created the Pods and Laura is the artist who makes them beautiful. We are a small business and we appreciate your support!
Fiona
- Throwing out rotten veg that cost me so much money 😩
- The smell of bagged leaves that have gone to slime 😩
- Trying to cram too many containers into my fridge 😩
- The never ending search for a storage method that works 😩
Here's how the Produce Pod works. The damp cotton inner layer keeps the veggies hydrated, while the outer layer prevents those veggies drying out too soon. But both layers are breathable, which means that (1) your veggies don't suffocate, and (2) moisture can escape at a slow rate so that condensation doesn’t build up. UGH, CONDENSATION! Thankfully, it’s a thing of the past!
I was shocked by the results when I first put my veggies in prototype Pods. At one point I bought a bunch of mint and forgot about it. Three weeks later I was surprised to find it was still fresh! I kept it as an experiment, and I was absolutely blown away when it was still fresh after six weeks. I mean, who keeps mint for six weeks??? I realised I’d discovered something amazing.
